Terms & Conditions

1. Who we are
Paid ("we", "us") is provided by Ryan Keane, a sole trader in the United Kingdom, trading as Paid. When you use Paid, your contract is with us. You can reach us at hello@usepaid.co.uk.
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or continuing to use Paid, you agree to these terms. If you use Paid for a business, you confirm you have authority to agree on its behalf. You must be at least 18.
3. What Paid does
Paid helps businesses get unpaid invoices paid. It stores your invoices, writes reminder emails with AI, sends them to your clients (manually or on Autopilot), gives your clients a payment page, and shows you what's been recovered.
4. Your account
- Keep your login details private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date, including your clients' details.
- You must have a genuine reason to contact each client you add, and the right to send them payment reminders.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse Paid. In particular you must not:
- use it for anything unlawful, including harassment or chasing debts that aren't owed;
- send fraud, spam or misleading messages, or impersonate anyone;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property;
- interfere with Paid's security, including uploading malware, probing for weaknesses, scraping, or reverse engineering;
- resell or redistribute Paid, or get around plan limits.
6. AI-written content
- Paid uses AI to draft reminders, read client replies and answer help questions. AI can be wrong. Check messages before relying on them; you are responsible for what is sent in your name.
- You're responsible for what you enter and how you use the output, and you must have the right to use any content you provide.
- You must not use the AI to create illegal, hateful, threatening or deceptive content, or try to make it ignore its safeguards.
- We may filter, refuse or remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules. Rights-holders can report infringing content to hello@usepaid.co.uk; repeat infringers will be removed.
- Paid does not give legal or financial advice. Late-payment interest figures are estimates based on UK law; take professional advice for legal action.
- You own your inputs and the reminders generated for you.
7. Our intellectual property
We own Paid, including its software, design, documentation and branding. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Paid within your plan while your account is active. To provide the service, you give us a limited licence to store and process the content you add.
8. Plans, payment and cancellation
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, renewals, tax, cancellations and refunds are covered by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled; you can cancel at any time from "Manage billing" and keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. On the free Starter plan, a 2% fee applies to money recovered, as shown on our pricing page. See our Refund Policy.
9. Service level
We work hard to keep Paid running, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every email will reach an inbox. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Paid is provided "as is" without implied warranties such as fitness for a particular purpose.
10. Liability
Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, data or goodwill. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that can't be limited by law. You agree to cover our losses from claims caused by your content, your unlawful use, or your breach of these terms.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously break these terms, don't pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly break our policies. You can close your account at any time. After closure you have 30 days to ask us for an export of your data, after which we delete it.
12. General
We aren't responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. You may not transfer your account without our consent; we may transfer our rights as part of a sale or merger of the business. We may update these terms and will tell you about significant changes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales.
